Dirty Harry
Burbank, CA: Warner Brothers, 1971. Revised Final Draft script for the 1971 film. Copy belonging to an unknown crew member, with their annotations in manuscript ink on several pages, noting actor names next to the first appearances of their respective characters.
One of the most important films of the New Hollywood cinema movement in the early 1970s, introducing Harry Callahan, a San Francisco cop with little regard for rules and his own brand of ultra-violent justice. Filmed in an altogether new style that would completely change the way crime dramas were made, with a nihilistic atmosphere that distinguishes it as much today as it did in 1971.
Blue titled wrappers, noted as REV. FINAL on the front wrapper, rubber-stamped copy No. 258, dated April 1, 1971. Title page present, with credits for screenwriters H.J. Fink and Dean Riesner. 125 leaves, with last page of text numbered 124. Mimeograph duplication on eye-rest green stock, with blue revision pages dated 4/6/71 and 4/12/71 throughout. Pages and wrapper Near Fine, internally bound with two gold brads.
