A Stone for Danny Fisher

New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1952. First Edition. INSCRIBED by the author on the front endpaper: "To E.F. / With appreciation for all your kind encouragements / Fondly / Harold R."

Basis for the 1958 film "King Creole," directed by Michael Curtiz and starring a different king, Elvis Presley, in what is generally considered to be his best film, as the titular Danny Fisher.

About Fine in a very bright, Near Fine dust jacket. Jacket is lightly rubbed at the extremities but completely unfaded and without any chips or tears. An exceptional example of a book scarce in collectible condition, particularly signed.
