New York: Harper and Brothers, 1955. First reinforced library Edition (meaning the edition issued to libraries by the publisher, as opposed to an ex-library copy), with "REINFORCED LIBRARY EDITION" stamped on the front jacket panel across Harold's belly. Jacket is first issue, but price clipped by the publisher (again, as issued).
Near Fine in cloth covered boards with white lettering and a Very Good plus, price clipped dust jacket. Front board lightly bowed. Price clipping is jagged, jacket has mild rubbing at the extremities, light toning to the spine, and a short closed tear to the top edge of the front panel. A lovely copy of this truly classic children's story of creativity and personal empowerment.
