Three by W.C. Fields: It's an Old Army Game, Running Wild, Fools for Luck

W.C. Fields

Hollywood: Famous Players-Lasky Corporation / Paramount Pictures, 1926, 1927, 1928. Original French pressbooks for three early silent comedies starring W.C. Fields, two of which ("Running Wild" and "Fools for Luck") are today lost, and one ("It's an Old Army Game") starring a young and vibrant Louise Brooks. Each printed in single-color wrappers, but with creative use of alternate-colored stock and/or ink, representing the many faces of the young Fields—who already looked rather old and fussy—as represented to the French, who of course adored him before he became a worldwide sensation.

Each pressbook in self-wrappers, glued binding, 4 pages, with a touch of separation and wear along the spine (though still completely intact).

Brownlow, p. 361.
