Clint Eastwood stars as an aging alcoholic cop given the task of escorting Sandra Locke, a prostitute scheduled to testify against a mob moss, from Las Vegas to Phoenix, and begins to fall in love with her as they find themselves under attack from the mob and the police. One of Clint Eastwood's earlier directorial efforts, made on the heels of "The Outlaw Josey Wales."

Shot on location in Arizona and Nevada.
