Vintage "Baile Dance" poster for a performance by Cheo Feliciano at the St. Francis Hotel (now the Westin St. Francis) in San Francisco, September 5, 1975, with backing salsa orchestra Mazacote, and supporting latin band Ritmo 74 and soul band Grand Theft. The poster is inscribed on the top right by the show's promoter, "With Best Wishes / Kevin A J Black."

A pioneer in the salsa genre, Cheo Feliciano was a Puerto Rican salsa and bolero composer, musician, and singer who released over 30 solo albums between 1971 and 2009, as well as nine albums from 1958 to 1966 with the Joe Cuba Sextet, and two albums with Eddie Palmieri in 1968 and 1981. In 2008, then-New York Major Michael Bloomberg declared July 20 "Cheo Feliciano Day," and the same year Feliciano was honored with a Latin Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Upon his death in 2014 Puerto Rico Governor Alejandro Garcia Padilla declared three days of mourning in remembrance of the star.
