The Bandeet Maestro

Los Angeles: Webbooks Publishers, 1935. First Edition. Octavo, side-stapled in stiff blue wrappers and black vellum spine. Little known author of "Vanishing Trails of Romance" (1923), Boyer tells the story of "Don Juan Domino" and his journey through the world of jazz, as music evolves from the composed piece to freestyle jazz saxophone. In a style not unlike that of Louis-Ferdinand Celine, with ellipses and elongated sentences, an unusual jazz novel.

A thin strip of toning at the top edges, and a hint of shelfwear, else Near Fine.
