"Conversation With My Father" opened on March 22, 1992 on Broadway at the Royale Theatre in New York, running for 30 previews and 402 performances, closing on March 14, 1993.

Hughes was nominated for a Tony award for Best Actress for her role in the 1961 production of "The Devil's Advocate."
