Dramatic depiction of tests actually conducted on ejection seats of Stratojet bombers in Florida in the early 1950s. These tests were conducted by the US Air Forces as preparation for space travel.

Shot on location at the Air Proving Grounds Command in Florida, and in New Mexico. Director Webb also directed "Love Me Tender" the same year, featuring Elvis Presley's acting debut.

Salmon titled wrappers, noted as REVISED SHOOTING FINAL on the front wrapper, rubber-stamped copy No. 1, dated September 9, 1955. Distribution page present, with receipt removed. Title page present, dated September 9, 1955, noted as Revised Shooting Final Script, with a credit for screenwriter Wincelberg. 113 leaves, with last page of text numbered 110.
