Peter Falk parodies every detective role he has ever played in this goofy spoof about a private eye who is accused of murdering his partner and who is also simultaneously searching for a dozen diamond eggs. The film trots out an all-star set of cameos including appearances by Stockard Channing, Dom DeLuise, Madeline Kahn, James Cromwell, James Coco and many others. Set in 1940s San Francisco.
