The US Marine Corps decides that it needs to add attack helicopters to its arsenal of weapons and trains a hotshot jet pilot right before the breakout of the Korean War. After falling in love with the commander's daughter, he is packed off to war where he consistently disobeys order to leave his helicopter and engage the enemy on the ground, much to the chagrin of his commanding officer.

Set in Korea.
