Based on Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Maxwell Anderson's 1952 novel, a loosely autobiographical account of his childhood on a Pennsylvania farm, where he was surrounded by sexual and physical abuse. Screenplay by Anderson's daughter Hesper, author of the 2000 memoir "South Mountain Road."

Set in Pennsylvania.
