Paris: N.p., Circa 1957. Eight vintage press photographs from an anniversary showing of the 1937 French film, circa 1957. Most with the film title and director Jean Renoir's name in manuscript ink on the verso. Housed in a vintage manila envelope with the film title in manuscript ink on the front.
Renoir is seen with fans and colleagues outside a cinema, with one image of him and actress Mylene Demongeot, and a few showing a neighboring Champs-Elysées drugstore.
Widely regarded as a masterpiece, and one of Orson Welles' favorite films.
