Original photograph of Robert Rauschenberg, 1979

N.p. N.p., 1979. Vintage photograph of artist Robert Rauschenberg in the pressroom of the "Miami Herald," in December of 1979. With manuscript annotations on the verso identifying Rauschenberg and crediting photographer John Doman, as well as numerous date stamps, on the verso.

Rauschenberg was at the newspaper office to create an original lithograph for the cover of the December 30, 1979 edition of the "Miami Herald's" Sunday magazine, "Tropic." The print, titled "Piece for Tropic," was issued in an edition of 650,000 (presumably the subscription number), of which 150 were signed at random by the artist.
