The final of five Los Angeles-set police thrillers starring Bill Elliott as a L.A.sheriff's department detective, following "Dial Red O" (1955), "Sudden Danger" (1955), "Calling Homicide" (1956), and "Chain of Evidence" (1957).

Two detectives investigate the strangulation death of well-liked card player. A gambling addicted neighbor is suspected, but something doesn't quite add up. "Wild" Bill Elliott's final film, retiring from acting in 1957.
