Based on Stephen Sheppard's 1986 novel "The Artisan," which was in turn based on the true story of Johann Georg Elser, a quiet German carpenter who attempted to assassinate Adolf Hitler in 1939.

Set and shot on location in Hungary, Germany, and Austria.

Brown generic International Creative Management wrappers. Title page present, dated June 1985, with credits for screenwriter Stephen Sheppard. 114 leaves, with last page of text numbered 113. Xerographic duplication, rectos only. Pages Very Good, wrapper Very Good, with a light tide mark on the front and rear wrappers and page edges, and accompanying dampstaining to the final leaf, bound with two gold brads.
