A romance develops between a German actor and a Japanese student. Director Beat Kuert was best known for "Eine Frau fur Alfie" (1989), and for a documentary series focusing on contemporary architects, including Herzog and de Meuron, Jean Nouvel, and Luigi Snozzi.

Set and shot on location in Zurich and Cantone Ticino, Switzerland, and Kyoto and Osaka, Japan.
