A newly divorced woman's plan for a romantic date night is waylaid when she finds herself besieged by men, from her ex-husband who regrets leaving her for a younger woman to her lonely, lovesick next-door neighbor.

Playwright Gene Stone was blacklisted in Hollywood during the McCarthy period, but was able to resume his career in the 1970s, most notably with the play "Why Not Stay For Breakfast" (1974) and the novel "Darling I Am Growing Old" (1974).

Set in Los Angeles, CA.
