After the gruesome death of her young daughter in a car accident, an obese young woman attempts suicide and is forcibly checked into a mental health treatment facility, where she undergoes extensive therapy, eventually realizing her history of binge eating has been a coping mechanism for past familial trauma and unhappiness in her marriage.

Set in Virginia.
