Based on German author Fritz Habeck's 1951 novel "Das Boot kommt nach Mitternacht." The French Resistance works to send a Nazi prisoner of war back home but is engaged with the question of why. The consequences of not sending him back leave 50 innocent French citizens slaughtered daily at the hands of the German army as retribution.
Set in France.
