Annotations in manuscript pencil and red pencil of release title and "#1," and striking "File Copy" stamp above, with "Master File" and production number "1499" stamps on front wrapper. Script divided into sequences, as was customary for the period.

Johnny (Leif Erickson) and his mother Trina (Frances Farmer) are reunited with the Johnny's father Mike (Akim Tamiroff), a Russian Cossack who recently immigrated and is now a cattle-rustler, forcing Johnny to choose between going straight or choosing a life of crime.

Self wrappers, rubber-stamped production No. 1499, dated June 15, 1938. 147 leaves, with last page of text numbered L-2. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only. Pages Very Good plus with three pieces of cello tape around binding and two on verso of last page, last page with two small closed tears and one two inch closed tear, saddle-stapled with two staples.
