Arturo Carrera (Dirk Bogarde) resigns from Catholic priesthood because of the church's support for the Nationalist rebels in the Spanish Civil War. When Loyalists begin attacking churches and clerics, Arturo tries to hide with the help of a prostitute Soedad (Ava Gardner) and war correspondent Hawthorne (Joseph Cotton).

Set in 1936 Spain, shot on location in Viterbo, Sicily, and Rome, Italy.

27 x 41 inches. Folded as issued. Good only, with some small chips along the bottom edge, a chip in the middle of the title, and two closed tears. See image.
