Basis for the 1951 French film directed by Robert Bresson.

Very Good in an about Very Good dust jacket. Owner name on the front endpaper, boards lightly foxed slightly bowed, with light foxing to endpapers and page edges. Jacket frayed along the top and bottom edge, with a 3/4-inch chip at the heel and a couple of small chips at the crown. A very presentable copy.
