Legendary pornographer and pornography activist Al Goldstein's attempt at bringing his weekly tabloid "Screw" (magazine) to the cinema, a pastiche of sexually explicit shorts.
Maxwell appears in the finale, a "Tonight Show" like segment (the longest segment in the film), starring Buckley as host and Goldstein as sidekick. Maxwell starred in the film "Portrait" the year earlier, directed by Gerard Damiano, famed director of "Deep Throat" (1972) and "The Devil in Miss Jones" (1973).
Shot on location in New York City, Mount Vernon, New York, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
8 x 10 inches. Very Good plus, with small staining on mid right and light edgewear. Manuscript ink notation of the number "60" at the bottom margin, with layout annotations in manuscript pencil on verso.
