A dramatization of the experiences of Matthew Henson, who accompanied arctic explorer Robert Peary during his successful, groundbreaking 1909 expedition to the North Pole. In his later years Henson published a memoir titled "A Negro Explorer at the North Pole" (1912), and was awarded the Peary Polar Expedition Medal in 1944.

Title page integral with front wrapper, dated April 30, 1997, noted as SHOOTING SCRIPT, with credits for screenwriters Jeffrey Lewis and Susan Rhinehart. 112 leaves, with last page of text numbered 103. Xerographic duplication, rectos only, with rainbow revision pages throughout, dated variously between 4/30/97 and 6/9/97. Pages Very Good plus, bound with two gold brads.
