Inspired by the "lonely hearts killers," Raymond Fernandez and Martha Beck, of the 1940s, who lured victims through lonely hearts ads.

Leonard Kastle's only foray into filmmaking, a black and white, documentary-style film wherein the overweight and lonely nurse, Martha Beck (Shirley Stoler), and con man Raymond Fernandez (Tony Lo Bianco), embark on a murder spree of elderly women.

Shot on location in Albany, New York and Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
