Going Places [Les Valseuses]

N.p. N.p., Circa 1974. Vintage borderless reference photograph from the 1974 film.

Based on the 1972 novel "Les Valseuses" by Bertrand Blier, which translates literally as "The Waltzers," which translates in French as vulgar slang for "testicles."

Two sleazy small-time hoods traipse through the French countryside stealing and bedding whatever and whomever they can.

Considered one of the more controversial films in French cinema due to its vulgarity and moral ambiguity, frequently labeled misogynistic.

Remade as "The Jesus Rolls" in 2020, directed, written by, and starring John Turturro, incorporating and reprising his iconic character Jesus from the 1998 Joel and Ethan Coen cult favorite "The Big Lebowski."

Set in and shot on location in Ardeche, Calvados, Cote-d'or, Drome, Hautes-Alpes, Normandie, and Pas-de-Calais, France.

5 x 7 inches. Very Good plus, with light creasing to top right corner and light edgewear.
