A rare glimpse behind the scenes of a film that was a triumph of design, practical effects, and cinematography. The crew and the natives of Skull Island prepare for one of the film's most memorable scenes: Ann Darrow (Fay Wray) being brought to the altar of Kong, while Cooper, cinematographers and crew capture the shot on rolling mounts and platforms in the foreground. A few year later the "great wall" in this image, a truly cost-effective prop, would come crashing down in flames during the burning of Atlanta in "Gone with the Wind."

Set on Skull Island and in New York City.
