Based on Mary Chase's 1954 play "Mrs. McThing." A comic fantasy following a young orphan who escapes into a storybook world, where she is adopted by a benevolent witch named Mrs. McThing. Playwright Henry Ephron was best known for his screenwriting work with his wife Phoebe Ephron, including "Carousel" (1956), "Desk Set" (1957), and "Captain Newman, M.D." (1963).
Set in the US Midwest.
Orange generic ICM wrappers. Title page present, undated, with credits for playwrights Mary Chase and Henry Ephron. 97 leaves, with last page of text numbered II-4-24. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only. Pages Near Fine, with light wear to the bottom left corner of the title page, wrapper Very Good plus, bound internally with two gold brads.
