Two vintage double-weight publicity photographs from the 1938 Broadway musical, one matte-finish, showing actress Vera Zorina and Dennis King, the other glossy, showing Zorina in a set of angel wings. With stamps for the play's release on the verso, one with the stamps of Lucas and Pritchard Studio and Dell Publishing Company and a date stamp reading JAN 13 1939, the other with the stamps of photographer Talbot and King Featyres Syndicate and a date stamp reading OCT 22 1939.

A wealthy banker wishes for an angel to marry after his most recent engagement ends, but when an actual angel flies into his life, he finds her perfection suffocating. The show opened at the Shubert Theatre on May 11, 1938 and ran for 338 performances, closing on February 25, 1939. The production was later adapted for film by MGM in 1942, directed by W. S. Van Dyke and starring Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy.

Set in Budapest.
