Nosferatu the Vampyre
Los Angeles: Twentieth Century-Fox, 1979. Vintage press kit for the 1979 film. Full-color illustrated pocketed outer folder, containing 13 black and white photographs housed in a brown paper envelope, and 13 gatherings of promotional reading material.
Based on F.W. Murnau's 1922 film. The third collaboration between director Werner Herzog and the infamously ill-tempered Klaus Kinski, who starred as Count Dracula.
Herzog lauded Murnau's classic horror tale as the greatest picture Germany every produced, and fittingly, many shots from Herzog's adaptation directly replicate shots from the 1922 film.
Shot on location in Mexico, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, and Germany.
Folder, photographs, and promotional material Near Fine.
BFI 2030. Ebert IV.
