Plastic Man

Berkeley, CA: Elihu Blotnick, 1973. Draft script for an unproduced film.

Inspired by journalist and photographer Elihu Blotnick's article "How to Counterfeit Credit Cards and Get away with It: The Confessions of Plastic Man," from the June 1970 issue of Scanlan's Monthly, for which Blotnick was briefly jailed, published in Blotnick's 1980 non-fiction collection "California Street 1."

A young hustler, Cricket, his wife Suzanne, and their photographer friend Harvey, hatch a plan to take a bank for literally all it's worth, beginning with some shrewd credit card fraud.
