A portrait of the second wave of feminism at its turning point in the late 1970s, about two former dancers whose lives have gone separate ways (one having become a professional dancer, the other a housewife), and whose unexpected reunion yields dramatic consequences. Nominated for eleven Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Screenplay.

Shot on location in Oklahoma City.
