Original hand-tinted panoramic Buck's Stove and Range Company promotional photograph

[Mid-Century Modern] [Kitchens]

Saint Louis, MO: Buck's Stove and Range Company, Circa 1930s. Vintage oversize hand-tinted panoramic Buck's Stove and Range Company promotional photograph, circa 1930s, with a blind stamp in the bottom right margin for photographer Walter A. Groth, of 1849 Mullanphy Street, Saint Louis.

An striiking and exhibition-worthy panoramic photograph, likely used for retail display when it was made, showing a succession of Buck's stoves in reverse order in four alcoves, with the stoves on the left appearing to be mid 1930s progressing to those on the right from the late 19th century.

Buck's Stove and Range Company began manufacturing in St. Louis in 1846 and for generations was one of the region's largest stove companies, it is now perhaps best known for being embroiled in a huge lawsuit against the American Federation of Labor in 1911.

35.75 x 9.5 inches, with a contemporary linen mounting. Very Good, with light creasing overall and light edgewear.
