Based on the 1953 novel by Conrad Richter. A young white boy who was raised by Native Americans is forced to return to white society following the signing of a peace treaty. Trouble ensues as he attempts to fit in. Staring Disney stalwart Fess Parker, of "Davey Crockett" fame, as Del Hardy, a British Army scout.
Set in Pennsylvania and Ohio, shot on location in California and Tennessee.
