Los Angeles: Eric Ambler, 1964. Original ribbon copy typescript letter, signed by Eric Ambler, on Ambler's letterhead, dated March 23, 1964, to Executive Secretary, Catherine Barth, of the Mystery Writers of America, Inc. (MWA), in response to a letter from Barth, announcing Ambler's 1962 novel, "The Light of Day" being awarded an Edgar Award for Best Novel, and inviting Ambler to the 1964 Awards Dinner and a dinner at the Southern California Chapter of the MWA. Ambler would receive The Grand Master Award from the MWA in 1975 and in 1987 received a third Edgar Award for Best Critical/Biographical Work for his 1985 autobiography, "Here Lies: An Autobiography."
8.5 x 11 inches. Near Fine, with three horizontal creases from mailing and pin holes to the upper left corner from being previously stapled.
