The collection includes nineteen 8 x 10 inch photographs, and six small borderless photographs, four of which have Langford's signature from the negative, one 8 x 10 negative, one 5.5 x 8 inch postcard from Langford's 1944 film "Career Girl," directed by Wallace Fox, and one copy of "TV Guide" magazine from Feb. 8, 1952, featuring Langford and Don Ameche on the cover, promoting the ABC variety show, "The Frances Langford-Don Ameche Show."

Known as the "GI Nightingale," Langford was a singer and actress who came to prominence during the Golden Age of Radio and garnered national attention after performing her signature song, "I'm in the Mood for Love" in the 1935 film "Every Night at Eight," directed by Raoul Walsh. Langford starred in 28 films, and made numerous television appearances in the 1940s and 1950s, as well as earning her moniker as a regular on Bob Hope's USO tours, who she continued to tour with into the late 1980s.
