Prolific composer, conductor, and pianist Mancini wrote the themes and soundtracks for hundreds of films throughout the late twentieth century, most notably including themes for The Pink Panther film series, "Breakfast at Tiffany's" (1961), and "Victor/Victoria" (1982). He was nominated for 18 Academy Awards throughout his career, winning four, and was nominated for 72 Grammy Awards, winning 20.
