A hit man (James Woods) coerces a detective (Brian Dennehy) into writing a book about the assassin's lucrative career secretly working for a prominent politician. The two men travel around the country gathering statements and evidence while attempting to stay clear of the politician's cronies, who will stop at nothing to keep the story from unfolding.

Set and shot on location in Manhattan and Los Angeles.
