Lancaster and York, PA: American Caramel Company, Circa 1920s. Vintage caramel card of actress Alice Lake, circa 1920s, with a facsimile (printed) autograph as issued. The American Caramel company manufactured two sets of photolithographic trading cards of actors and actresses in the 1920s, one set of 80 and one of 120. The card here issued from the 120 set, with Lake's card identified in the text on the recto as number 95.
Lake acted during the silent era, doing only a few talkies in the 1930s. She was best known for acting in comedic films such as "Oh Doctor!" (1917) and "The Cook" (1918).
