Original photograph of Alice Faye, circa 1930s

Alice Faye (subject)

Los Angeles: Twentieth Century-Fox, Circa 1930s. Vintage publicity photograph of actress Alice Faye, circa 1930s. Likely issued by Twentieth Century-Fox to promote Faye, who was a Paramount player at the time.

Faye was best known for her musical performances in "Alexander's Ragtime Band" (1938) and "Hello Frisco, Hello" (1943). She ended her career in 1945 after a disagreement with producer Darryl F. Zanuck resulted in his blacklisting her, (erroneously) claiming that she had breached her contract. She did not return to the screen until the 1970s.

8 x 10 inches. Very Good plus.
