Best known by the British release title "Scoundrel in White," director Claude Chabrol's "Docteur Popaul" was released in the US nine years after it's 1972 French release under two different titles, "Play Now, Pay Later" and "High Heels."
Based on the 1969 novel "Murder at Leisure" by Hubert Monteilhet. Jean-Paul Belmondo stars as inveterate womanizer. After marrying the wealthy but plain Mia Farrow, he seduces her beautiful sister Martine (Antonelli).
Shot on location in Gironde and Paris, France and Tunisia.
