Based on Richard Llewellyn's 1939 novel. The men of the Morgan family earn a living working in their small Welsh town's mine, where they face dangerous and unhealthy conditions, and exploitation at the hands of the mine owners. Winner of five Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director.

Set in Wales, shot on location in California.

Title page present, with credit for Philip Dunne, noted as 2nd Revised Final, and dated April 18, 1941. 167 leaves, with last page of text numbered 169. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only, with blue revision pages dated 5/19/41 throughout. Pages Very Good plus, slightly yapped, with light tide marks along the bottom edges of the first five leaves, wrapper Poor, bound with two gold brads.
