N.p. N.p., 1984. Vintage oversize photograph of British pop musician Boy George, sporting a punk-influenced tartan suit and matching apron, taken circa 1980 and struck circa 1984. London News Service stamps, date stamps, and a small newspaper clipping affixed to the verso.

George rose to fame with Culture Club's 1982 debut album "Kissing to Be Clever," featuring the international hit "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me." The song's popularity—and the band's subsequent success in the US—led music critics to dub the musician the pop scion of the "Second British Invasion."

From the archive of the PIX Agency, an American photo house that acted as an intermediary between emigre photographers (as well as those still living in Europe) and the American magazine and newspaper market between 1935-1969.

12 x 16 inches, archivally matted in an 8-ply white mat measuring 20 x 16 inches. Very Good, moderately worn at the corners.
