N.p. N.p., Circa 1937. Vintage borderless press photograph of character actor Charles A. Millsfield and his wife on the set of an unidentified film, likely the 1938 film "The Big Broadcast of 1938," taken circa 1937. PIX agency stamp crediting photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt on the verso.
German-born photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt was one of the original staff photographers of "Life" magazine after it was purchased by "Time" founder Henry Luce in 1936. He published nearly 2500 photo stories for the magazine, with 90 of his images used for the magazine's covers, but is perhaps best remembered today for the iconic "V-J Day in Times Square" photograph.
From the archive of the PIX Agency, an American photo house that acted as an intermediary between emigre photographers (as well as those still living in Europe) and the American magazine and newspaper market between 1935-1969.
7.25 x 10 inches, archivally matted in a 14 x 17 inch 8-ply white mat. Very Good plus.
