N.p. N.p., Circa 1940s. Two vintage borderless press photographs of writer John P. Marquand at his summer home in Kent Island, Newburyport, Massachusetts, circa 1940s. Both with PIX agency stamp on the verso crediting photographer "Huston," and one with a printed mimeo snipe.
Marquand received a Pulitzer Prize for his 1937 novel "The Late George Apley."
From the archive of the PIX Agency, an American photo house that acted as an intermediary between emigre photographers (as well as those still living in Europe) and the American magazine and newspaper market between 1935-1969.
One photograph 7 x 11 inches, the other 7.5 x 9.5 inches. Very Good plus.
