Marcuse's Marxist scholarship inspired many academics and political radicals in the 1960s and 1970s, and he is remembered today by many theorists as the "Father of the New Left."

From the archive of the PIX Agency, an American photo house that acted as an intermediary between emigre photographers (as well as those still living in Europe) and the American magazine and newspaper market between 1935-1969.

Approximately 8 x 10 inches, trimmed irregularly. Good, with tide marks and accompanying fading on the bottom and right edges.
