Based on the 1949 novel by Jean Bruller writing as Vercors. In occupied France, a young woman and her uncle are forced to give shelter to a German lieutenant, and silently agree to endure the man's presence by refusing to acknowledge him for the duration of his stay. Melville's feature film debut.
10 x 8 inches. Very Good plus, with a light crease at the bottom left corner, reinforced with paper tape on the verso.
