A tongue-in-cheek exploration of the history of Hollywood film broken into segments of genre and theme, featuring numerous clips of (predominately Twentieth Century-Fox) feature films, narrated by Tom Bosley and Anthony Franciosa.

Portrait photographs include: host Tom Bosley, Carmen Miranda, Alice Faye, and Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce in character as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson.
