Inspired by George Gershwin’s 1928 jazz-influenced orchestral composition, and featuring a show-stopping 17-minute ballet choreographed to the piece, as well as a number of other Gershwin tunes, including the classics “Embraceable You,” “Nice Work if You Can Get It,” and “I Got Rhythm."

Winner of six Academy Awards, including Best Screenplay and Best Picture, and nominated for two others, including Best Director. Also nominated for the Palme d’Or at Cannes in 1952.
